Perselí is a trio based in Amsterdam comprised of Fuensanta on vocals & double bass, Alistair Payne on trumpet, & José Soares on saxophone.

Formed in 2018, the collective composes the music together, bouncing ideas off each other to create a rich orchestral sound that resembles a modern chamber group.

On their self-titled debut album, Perselí weave improvised passages guided by texture & poetry, original songs that pull from a mixture of folk music, & soundscapes that imitate nature and our surroundings.

This was not what I expected! I thought this was a pop group (first time hearing this band) but I had to eat my hat because my assumption was so wrong. If you are a fan if complex piano layers, check this out! Also, the bassist and drummer are insane in here. I choked hearing one of the riffs it was that good! nvan92
